Alpha is a course in the fundamentals of Christian faith. The word “alpha” also means “beginning” as it is the first letter of the Greek alphabet. And Jesus calls himself the “Alpha and the Omega” the first and the last. I wish to offer our adults an opportunity to firm up their foundations in the basics of what we believe so that we are all equipped to share our faith with more confidence, or simply have a better understanding of what we believe and why.
